Assess healthcare reporting separately
Public healthcare reporting can apply alongside ordinary annual accounts. Legal form, activities, financing, size and exemptions determine the required elements. Admission, governance and reporting duties should not be treated as one undifferentiated Wtza obligation.
Plan backwards from the relevant deadline
The healthcare reporting timetable does not automatically move with an extension for preparing company accounts. Allow time for closing records, reconciling care revenue, board review and any external audit work. Confirm any special arrangements separately.
Use the same final figures throughout
Claims submitted, care delivered and cash received can differ. Rejections, production ceilings and potential repayments require evidence from care registration and contracts. Document the reporting model and final version and reassess when activities, size or structure change.
