EU VAT refund claims

Recover eligible VAT paid in other EU countries with a complete supporting file.

01

Choose the correct foreign VAT recovery route

Foreign VAT is generally not deductible as Dutch input VAT. A separate EU refund application may be appropriate where the business does not file local VAT returns. Where local filing is required, recovery may instead belong in that return.

02

Review invoices by country and expense

We organise invoices by country, check business use and assess local restrictions on expenses such as accommodation, vehicles, fuel and hospitality. The applicable minimum amount and application period also need to be checked.

03

Collect documents and follow up requests

We plan collection before the annual EU refund deadline and resolve missing invoice details or authorisations. Foreign authorities may request further evidence. We monitor those requests and reconcile the application with your costs and purchase ledger.
