Eurovignette ends in the Netherlands after truck toll launch

The transition changes the fixed and variable cost base of transport companies.

Dutch changes do not end foreign obligations

The end of the Eurovignette in the Netherlands must be considered alongside the countries in which the fleet still operates. Do not cancel every registration or payment arrangement without checking the remaining foreign toll and road-use requirements.

Reconcile the transition in the accounts

Old fixed costs and new kilometre-based charges can both appear during the transition. Check prepayments, remaining periods and corrections against the documents. Comparing two months is meaningful only when the same cost categories are included.

Update vehicle records, prices and budgets together

Keep a country-by-country record of registered vehicles, payment systems and responsible staff. A replacement vehicle may require changes beyond its registration number in the planning system. Allocate empty kilometres and detours consistently, then update budgets and customer pricing assumptions with the evidence supporting the transition.
